Recently, my friend Lawrence Gaun introduced me to this money making scheme called, “XING”. For those living in Japan, this looks like a low risk way to make a steady, yet sizable monthly income until you perish.

Essentially, XING is an on-line, 3-D, computer generated program which attempts to immolate real life in what’s coined a "virtual world". In this cloned world, each person or gamer is represented by an "avatar", a cartoon like character who looks just like you! that walks around in a computerized virtual reality, interfacing with other avatars in real time.

The physical world of the avatar might be an exact duplicate of the city where you live or work, complete with the same neighborhood layout and grid - all in 3D. So just like in the real world, avatars are prancing about doing the same kind of things that normal people do in everyday life, from going to work, purchasing products and services, to meeting other avatars (as in "pardon me, you come here often?).

Avatars have to live and work somewhere - right? so they rent (i.e. PAY building "owners") apartments or commercial spaces for small businesses (hmm.. French lesson anyone?) or otherwise act and behave as any Joe Blow would.

In short, Xing enables users to engage in both real and virtual commerce, complete with a myriad of trade and retail activities, entrepreneur ventures, transportation and communication systems and so on. The parent company, Frepar International, is creating a massive 3D industrial infrastructure - the genesis of which will eventually become the virtual economy of the future (with no banking meltdowns hopefully!)

There are also numerous entertainment components to Xing World. Imagine, if you will, products you authorize your avatar to purchase (texting your cell phone to alert you of a big sale) that is delivered directly to your door the very next day; not to mention music, sports, and cinema favorites. These items might be downloaded to your computer or mobile device, all by the selective whims and preferences of your programmed cyber "twin".

Some months ago, creators of the game began opening up the enterprise to private investors by way of share purchases and land sales in order to prepare the general public for its official grand opening set to launch in June 2009.

Getting In

For a buy-in of about $ 400,000 Yen (US$ 4,000), investors are guaranteed a passive income of $ X per month FOR LIFE (Lawrence ask me not to reveal the estimated value of X for fear of getting peoples hopes up too high). After that, although you can still, of course, buy and sell virtual real estate after the game begins, the opportunity to buy shares and receive passive income from the games basic infrastructure (transportation, utilities and marketing revenues) will be closed forever

For the record, there is a similar virtual reality game out there called "Second Life" which is very popular; yet Xing is poised to open exclusively in Japan - and by definition - almost exclusively to Japanese investors.

I bought into Xing World about six months ago when I first heard about it from Lawrence who, himself, was turned on by his Japanese contacts.

Vetting

What initially attracted me to this Xing World is two things: One, the number of fortune 500 companies involved (they've purchased millions of dollars of billboard space that will target the avatars in Xing world); and TWO, and perhaps most importantly, my faith and belief in Lawrence Gaun, a guy I have known for fifteen years; who also happens to be the most skeptical person I have ever met; a man who once told me that my concept to build a Japan based English school with a heavy emphasis on multiculturalism was too risky an investment to undertake.

So I figure if Xing is good enough for Lawrence, then its damn well good enough for me!

For more information about Xing World, or his monthly parties, contact Lawrence Gaun, lawrence@gol.com
